Allington Manor is a Grade II listed Jacobean manor house located in the quaint village of Allington, just outside Grantham. Dating back to the 1450s, this lovingly restored manor house successfully combines country house splendour with luxury boutique hotel touches.
If you’re wanting to stay in a boutique hotel in Lincolnshire with the wow factor, then Allington Manor has it in abundance!
A warm welcome awaits all those who stay at there. Its owners have managed to create a wonderfully informal atmosphere in a stunning setting. Comfort and coziness are a bye-word. Nothing is too much trouble, and residents are made to feel like Lord and Lady of the Manor for the duration of their stay!
There are just 3 de-luxe bedrooms at Allington Manor. All rooms are large, very well-equipped, exceedingly comfortable, and have fantastic views of the grounds. The spacious bathrooms have both a freestanding roll top bath and a separate shower enclosure.
The Lord’s Room – an opulent room that has been the master bedroom since Jacobean times. This stunning room boasts a sumptuous six-foot bateau bed and a roaring open fire in winter.
The Lady’s Room – has a four-poster bed and is the epitome of elegance and tranquility.
The Garden Room – this wonderfully light and airy room is as pretty as it is comfortable.
Whilst a delicious breakfast awaits residents in the morning, do check to see if evening meals are being served during your stay. If they’re not, then don’t worry – The Welby Arms, a very cosy country inn situated just across the road, serves delicious food.
Residents can relax in the lovely drawing room, enjoy the stunning gardens, have a game of croquet, or explore the glorious grounds on foot or by bike (you can borrow a bike from the manor).
Should you wish to be pampered, beauty and spa treatments are available if you pre-book them.
Allington Manor is just 6 miles from Grantham, birthplace of Margaret Thatcher and Sir Isaac Newton.
Woolsthorpe Manor (home of Sir Isaac Newton) and Belton House are close by.
