A city that is bursting with history, with so much to see and do that you’ll be spoiled for choice. While there are lots of hotels in the city, there are a selection of Lincoln caravan parks that offer a cheap alternative and the chance to get back to nature.

Surrounded by the wonderful countryside, you can have the best of both worlds in Lincoln. Venture the few miles into town to do a bit of shopping, taste some of the incredible food, and maybe check out the Cathedral or Castle. You may even be lucky enough to see them from where you are staying.

Hartsholme Country Park Campsite

Covering more than 200 acres, Hartsholme Country Park is a feature for Lincoln, with multiple lakes and walkways to explore. It is now perfect for a weekend away with the camping pitches that are available to the public.

There is a total of 33 pitches, which have the following features:

  • Electric hook up
  • Parking next to most units
  • Showers and washing facilities
  • Chemical disposal unit
  • Dogs Allowed

Non-electric pitches are available for tents, and there is also a camping pod available for hire that sleeps a maximum of 2 adults and 2 children.

While you can visit the park at any time of year, the campsite is only open from March 1st to October 31st, with a special opening for the Christmas Market.

Oakhill Leisure

Surrounded by 70 acres of open fields and woodland walks, Oakhill Leisure campsite is set in 8 acres with everything you need for a relaxing holiday.

There is more than enough space for everyone and each pitch is privately located with the following:

  • Electric hook up
  • Access via electric gate
  • Toilet and shower facilities
  • Washroom
  • Washing machine available

There are also non-electric pitches available for you to enjoy that are away from the main camp. If camping isn’t your style you can try out the Glamping tent in which they provide the BBQ, fridge, chairs and two double beds.

If you are a keen angler then you will love the well-stocked finishing lake, where even night fishing is allowed.

Shortferry Leisure

Set within 60 acres of land, this independently owned complex is close to the city and has plenty of room for everyone with many pitches available. There is so much on site for all the family to partake in meaning they will never be bored.

All the 60 touring site pitches have electrical hook up, as well as their own dedicated toilet and shower block.

There are static caravans which make up most of the park and feature:

  • 2 bedrooms
  • Bed linen
  • TV with Freeview
  • Fully equipped kitchen
  • Outdoor table and chairs
  • Parking

When the weather is warm you can enjoy the heated outdoor swimming pool, lounge in the sunbathing area, and let the kids try out the arcade.

Langdale Lakes

Langdale Lakes aim to provide a relaxing atmosphere for all who stay. Set in 8.5 acres of Lincolnshire countryside and only 5 miles away from the city, they only cater to adults and have some great facilities.

You can bring your caravans and motorhomes between 1st March to 31st October, and all pitches feature:

  • 16-amp electric hook up (10-amp on lakeside pitches)
  • Fresh water tap
  • Dish washing facilities
  • Equipped bathrooms

This caravan site is perfect for those who love to fish as there is a well-stocked lake on site. Choose from Lily Lake, which is 1.6 acres, or Willow Lake, which is 1.4 acres, and settle down for the day to see what you catch.
