The Old Bakery Restaurant

Ideally located at the edge of The Cathedral Quarter, The Old Bakery Restaurant is less than a five minute walk away from Lincoln Castle and Lincoln Cathedral, and offers easy access to Ellis Mill (a fascinating working windmill), the Museum of Lincolnshire Life and several Roman ruins.

Dating back to 1837, The Old Bakery Restaurant has lots of character, offering 4-Star AA accommodation as well as fantastic food and drink, and has received a 4-Star Silver Award Quality in Tourism by Visit England.

The Old Bakery is a wonderful place to stay. It has 4 delightful double ensuite bedrooms which are cosy and comfortable, with tea/coffee making facilities, radio/alarm, Freeview tv and free WiFi.

Freshly laundered towels are provided daily and ironing facilities are provided upon request. A delicious breakfast is also included in the price of the room.

An AA rosette and 4-Star restaurant with rooms, The Old Bakery restaurant was a firm favourite with Tom Hanks and Sir Ian McKellen when they were filming the DaVinci Code at the nearby cathedral. It offers a wonderful dining experience, with exciting lunch, A La Carte, and Tasting Menus offering seasonal, local produce.

The restaurant’s relaxed and informal atmosphere, coupled with a superb kitchen and front-of-house team, makes The Old Bakery one of the best places in Lincoln to dine. The climate-controlled Garden Room contains a variety of herbs and lemon and orange trees and is a great place to enjoy your fantastic food.

Cookery Lessons are offered by Chef Ivano de Serio, periodically throughout the year at The Old Bakery. These one-day courses are open to a maximum of 6 people, whether serious cooks or complete novices. All the ingredients, aprons, utensils, recipes and other equipment are provided by The Old Bakery.
